STOPPING THE LEAK
Right now, oil is gushing freely into the Gulf with zero containment as BP transitions to a new cap expected to provide near 100 percent of containment. Initial reports suggested the new cap would be in place by tomorrow (Monday), but BP officials are now saying it could be another 2 to 5 days.

CLEANING UP
A Navy Blimp is patrolling Gulf waters looking for oil and distressed wildlife. When they see trouble, they radio down to boats that can report to the scene.

CLAIMS
To cut down on the number of requests, and presumably quicken the claim resolution process, BP is planning to grant 6 months of payments per request to those qualified for reimbursements from the Gulf oil leak (instead of requiring a new claim for each month).
