Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. announced the groundbreaking of a new solar photovoltaic (PV) cell production facility in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, China. The new production site will facilitate Suntech's capacity expansion plans to reach 1.4 gigawatts (GW) by the end of 2009 and 2 GW by the end of 2010.
