Mariah Power, a new wind turbine manufacturer, announced today that its Windspire™ wind power appliance for residential, commercial and government use has passed ETL (safety) certification for the U.S. and Canada, a necessary achievement in order to bring the product to market. The Windspire was tested to UL1741 and IEEE 1547.1 and found to comply with the required safety standards. Mariah Power stands alone among other wind power appliance manufacturers, as the company's own proprietary, ETL-certified inverter is integrated right into the wind turbine. Mariah Power is poised to make Windspire available for sale in early 2008 at a price of $3,995.
