Usage statistics of Nuclear Energy

I was wondering if anyone had any recent statistics regarding usage of nuclear energy?

There are 104 commercial nuclear power plants producing 20 percent of the electricity in the United States. They are located at 64 sites in 31 states.

Nuclear energy is by far the nation’s largest source of electricity that does not produce greenhouse gases, providing 73 percent of this "clean" electricity, including hydroelectric, wind and solar. Nuclear energy accounts for 90 percent of all electric utility savings in carbon dioxide emissions since 1973.

Id read somewhere that theres a major problem between France and Germany regarding the disposal of the nuclear waste.

In order for Germany to permanently dispose of its heat-generating nuclear waste, the federal government needs to make some clear decisions. Namely, the next coalition government must establish a road map for where and how the waste will be disposed. Until this political element is fixed, suggestions for further improvements are useless. That said, communication between the government and pertinent stakeholders needs to improve. For example, as of now, all discussions are undertaken on an informal basis, without a clear procedure as to how the public can substantively participate. No matter the ultimate governmental directive, the process won't proceed until the communication issues are cleared up.

I really think we should move away from Nuclear. Nuclear waste is really hard to dispose of safely.
